Mark your calendars for MAY 8TH SAT.  For the May Festival and Appraisal Fair.

   Gather up some of those treasures your Mother, Father, or maybe Grandparents had that you have been wondering if you might get rich on and bring them to the museum between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M and see if they really are worth what you thought.  While you are at the Historic Park enjoy the booths and eat a delicious lunch cooked on the old wood stove in the Soddy.  The prices are affordable and there is no charge for just looking. 

 Mark your calendars for JUNE 8TH TUES. for our annual Pioneer Pot luck in the Park. 

   We gather at around 6:00 p.m. to enjoy all the wonderful dishes every one has brought to share.  Have a good old time enjoying catching up on all the news.  Bring a dish to share and we will furnish the drink.  No time limit on this one. We chat till dark.

 The Baugh House is now being restored on the inside.  Stop by when you see the guys working and say hello.  Take a peek inside and watch the progress.  We hope to have it completed by the end of summer.  And then there will be another gay celebration.

Taking a trip to see relatives or grands this summer don't forget the Sod House store for those little gifts for everyone. 

Hopefully membership books will be going out in August as we gear up for the Fall Festivities at the Museum.  Watch this site for Dates and Times.

We have several wonderful donations this year.  A beautiful crazy quilt, Books and periodicals and more abstracts of the City and surrounding area.  Are collections are bursting at the seams.  We hope to have our display of Old Schoolbooks and papers up soon. We will let you know via the web site.

Members may have noticed that we are now sending the newsletter by email.  Be sure and give us your email address so we can make sure you are kept up to date on the activities at the Historic Park.  We are only sending the newsletters out four times a year now.  The expense of mailing was more than our budget could handle. Those who do not have email will still get the newsletter by snail mail a small donation to help defray the cost of postage would be appreciated.  

Enjoy the tulips, daffodils and all the wonders of Spring.  We will look forward to seeing all at the Musuem on Fridays and at the two events listed above.
