June 2015

I am early,

The May Festival was delightful this year. Eron Johnson appraised many artifacts and collectiblesH for visitors, some who came all the way from Fort Collins. Thanks Eron

Chris made delicious Sloppy Joes which every one enjoyed. Desert was her specialty, Rubarb Sauce over fresh home made biscuits. Wow Chris thanks so much for again sharing you talents with us.

The quilting circle set up a frame in the livingroom for all to quilt on.  The chatter while they sewed reminded us of our grandmothers setting around the quilting frame busy hands at work discussing recipes and other tidbits. Thanks Gals you are a fun addition to the happenings at the museum.  If you are interested in joining this group please contact Jane at the museum for details 303-421-9111.

Music floated on the breeze through all the buildings thanks to Joann and her Blue Grass and.

Later an Irish Band stopped buy and played in the Soddy.  Thank you to much it is so wonderful to meet all these talented people

The MAY POLE dance was organized by Winston a member of the society and young and old enjoyed wrapping the pole with colorful ribbon.

May 16th

The weather cleared just long enough for the wedding of CLAY OWEN WORTH iv(JESSE) AND TASHA TREAT. The reception was held in the Sod House a lovely day and a lovely couple. The couple returned to Trinidad Colorado to start house keeping after their car was repaired on Sunday. Congratulations to the Happy Couple.

The next  meeting will be June  9th this is our annual Pioneer Picnic bring a dish to share. Call Jane for more information.

We were asked to remove the letter and link from Mr Dawson by an attorney for whoever  the owner or corporation that manages Crown Hill is. Evidently, Work is being done on the The Tower of Memories. The historical society will be contacting the management for further information as requested by them
