WHAT HAPPEN TO OCTOBER!  I remember seeing it flying by maybe that was the witch I saw In the sky that night.

Oh well Oct was a delightful fun month.  Cider days was well attended by lots of people. We had few apples because the early spring frost killed the apple buds. No matter people bought apples and thanks to our new favorite store in Wheat Ridge, “SPROUTS” on 38th and Kipling, who donated a whole box of delicious Granny Smith apples, our cider was delicious. Thanks Sprouts

Joann’s Pickup band played under the canopy and entertained all with their wonderful old fashion tunes and Blue Grass music. People were kicking up their heels on the grass and having a great ole time.

Mike Graham and his Mom were in charge of lunch Mike served Brats off the Grill donated by Al Frank They were perfect nice and juicy. Our little apple rose tarts were a hit. Planning something special for next year. Mike you can cook my Brats anytime! Kyle Ross, Jacob and Chris Worth set up canopies brought out the cider press and made themselves useful throughout the day. Thanks guys.

The White Family had a gathering of all the Clan at the Historic Park and reminisced about the happy days of growing up on the farm and retelling stories they heard and remembered from the “old Days” They brought a lovely Scrapbook which many people enjoyed looking through, we enjoyed having them and hope they come back again.

Winston sang songs while Claudia Callas joined on her penny whistle and wowed everyone with his talent.  What a neat kid Mom Good Job.

A lovely day was had by all.

The Wheat Ridge Quilt Circle arranged to have all the museums quilts documented for the Colorado Quilt Councils project.  They have documented over 65,000 quilts so far. We our proud to have our quilts included.  I plan on contacting them and seeing if my grandmother’s crazy quilt is included in their archives.  If a quilt is stolen or lost, and it has been documented you may be able to find it.

The Quilting Circle met on the 4th Weds of the Month and had a delightful time at the Baugh House.  If you are interested in this group please call Jane Harvey, at 303-421-9111. We will be meeting on the 18th because of Thanksgiving. The quilting members are invited to our Christmas Party Bring some of your Christmas projects to show off.

Election of officers will be on the second Tues . Nov. 10th at 7:00 p.m at the museum.  We will be discussing the Christmas  Party which will be at the Baugh House. On Dec .8th bring your favorite Christmas cookie or goodie for our annual exchange.
